Stephen spent twenty-five years in the private sector working mainly in the food and drink sectors. For the last ten years, Stephen worked in the third sector as director of a national charity, working closely with a range of stakeholders to develop the adoptive and fostering sectors. Stephen brings to the independent assessor role a depth of experience in governance, strategic planning and involvement in multi departmental activity. He continues to be involved in a range of voluntary areas with a particular interest in education, child protection and social care. Stephen is committed to transparency, inclusivity and fair play in the work place and in the selection of public appointees.
