Douglas Bain

Since moving to Northern Ireland in 1988 Douglas has made full use of the questioning and analytical skills he developed as a Procurator Fiscal in his native Scotland in a range of roles including as a Parades Commissioner and as the first Northern Ireland Assembly Commissioner for Standards.  As an Independent Assessor he is committed to utilising these skills to the full whilst upholding the Merit Principle and continuing the work he undertook whilst Chief Electoral Officer to ensure that those with a disability suffer no detriment.
