In September 2008, the Commissioner welcomed the opportunity to take part in Queen's University Belfast Internship Scheme. Katherine McCloskey, a Student of the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy, began her 3 month internship with the Commissioner's office at the end of September 2008. One of Katherine's major tasks was to provide the Commissioner with a Project based report, taking the form of a 12,000 word dissertation. The report Katherine produced highlighted the roles and functions of OCPA NI, on a comparative bases, with similar institutions in both Canada and Scotland.
