Interested in a public appointment?
The Central Appointments Unit (CAU) in the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister has a central policy responsibility for public appointments which centres around encouraging best practice across departments, and the publication of an annual report which lists and analyses public appointments made by departments. The Unit also produces on a regular basis a list of forthcoming vacancies which it issues to interested individuals/groups and advertises it in the local newspapers and on its website.
Check the website of the Central Appointments Unit, where you will find:
- A Guide to Public Appointments in Northern Ireland, which gives general information on the appointments process
- All Aboard – a twice yearly newsletter, giving information on upcoming public appointment vacancies
